Ernest W. Marshall, Jr. is executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Eaton, a global intelligent power management company.
Ernest leads Eaton’s effort to attract, inspire and retain best-in-class talent while providing an exceptional place to work and grow. He is responsible for the company’s global Human Resources strategy, including leadership and organizational development, compensation and benefits, inclusion and diversity and talent acquisition. He also oversees the Eaton Foundation and Community Affairs.
Ernest brings more than 22 years of global HR experience, most recently in executive HR leadership roles of increasing responsibility at General Electric. Before joining Eaton in 2018, he was GE’s vice president, Human Resources, Aviation, with responsibility for more than 45,000 global employees.
Ernest holds a law degree from Indiana University Bloomington School of Law, an MBA from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and business administration from Bellarmine University.
He currently serves on the boards of trustees for Republic Bank and Trust, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, LSI Industries and the Kindway Organization.
